Recolour Sues = Unoriginal

I don't know if recolouring is against the law, since I discovered under certain circumstances, tracing is legal (I don't know whether it's because it's classified as fair use, and I don't even know why the judges would allow it [link] [link] - these prove tracing is legal), but to be honest, if you're going to recolour or trace, only someone with an IQ less than 25 would believe that you have talent. If you want people to believe that you have talent and creativity, then why don't you draw your Mary Sue instead of recolouring and tracing to make Mary Sue?

I mean, I acknowledge the fact that recolouring, tracing, and other forms of theft are never going to stop no matter how much we try to stop them, because we do not have a perfect world (and we definitely do not have a perfect internet), but recolouring, tracing, and theft are already unoriginal enough, and using these actions to create a Mary Sue or Gary Stu only adds more unoriginality.

Get over yourselves, guys. Want Credibility? Then you should at least try to draw. I understand some suck at drawing but it's more original than recolouring or tracing.

Even then, a Mary Sue is not as creative and original as I make it out to be. Yes, adding one or two sue-ish characteristics to a character does not make them an automatic "Mary Sue", but when you add far too many, that's a sign that you're going too far.
