Animal Testing isn't just for humans?

UPDATE: I'm going to revise my point here, because if I don't, many will say I hate lab animals and love pets. To be REALLY honest, I don't. My point here is that even if we banned animal testing for human medicines, we would still need to test on animals for vet medicines. Some animal rights activists say that we should use virtual animal testing or animal robots to develop veterinary drugs instead, but until our technology is advanced enough to develop that stuff, animal testing is necessary. Besides, how are we supposed to develop animal robots or virtual animals to test on if we have no clue how an animal's body functions?

Yes, I understand animal testing (and animal exploitation in general) is cruel and can be painful

Yes, I understand that veganism and vegetarianism are important, and awareness of the two should be spread.

I also never said that you had to use drugs or cosmetics tested on animals.

I'm only saying that currently, technology isn't yet developed enough to create vet medicine "not tested on animals".

I have a question: Right now, how are we supposed to have vet medicine without animal testing? I mean, animal testing probably didn't help human medicine that much, and yes, back in the old days, animal products were luxuries maybe only the rich could afford, but if there are few to no animal products, I have two questions for you:

1. Q: How do you feed your pet cats?
A: You feed them a chemical based catfood diet instead of a meat-based one, not so natural for a cat.

2. Q: How do your pet dogs get medical treatment if they're sick?
A: They don't. Besides, maybe they don't even need vet care for that matter.

The thing in the back: Akita Inu Doll (It should be a rat, though)

Please note: I don't really care about how animal testing has benefited humans, not because it's cruel and inhumane, but rather because human and animal systems are different from each other in terms of bodily systems by truth. Even some of the boys who used to be in my class at school when I was younger said humans should be test subjects instead of animals by law, because then it produces more accurate test results. But either way, if human or animal is tested on, one has to suffer, because this world is not a perfect world.

This has nothing to do with cosmetic animal testing, this is about medical animal testing and that alone.

I made this mostly because I've seen far too much of people crying about how cruel animal testing is and how it's not needed. No, for human medicine it might not be needed. In fact, by law, scientists are ONLY to use animals or animal cells as test subjects when it's absolutely nessecary. Source: [link]

But...

Without animal testing, veterinary medicine would not exist. The reason for this is if we don't test a drug or a treatment on an animal, how do we know it's safe for the animal to use whenever the animal gets sick?

Veterinary medicine doesn't only help pets. It also helps livestock according to these websites below:

Now what would you rather have, all your livestock die and you lose your job and/or your pets suffer and/or die from a disease that a cure hasn't been found for yet and you lose their company...

OR

Would you have a lab animal sacrifice it's life so you could keep your livestock business, and/or your pet could live longer?

Now tell me. Still think animal testing should be outlawed in all circumstances? Then put up signs around your residence saying that the suffering and death of a pet is more humane than the suffering of and death of a lab animal, and that pets are worth less than lab animals.

I'm sorry but your description is still no excuse to burn a rabbit's eyes out with failed shampoo.
